China to provide Moldova with 150,000 doses of COVID vaccine

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/- In a letter to Speaker Zinaida Greceanii, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Li Zhanshu confirmed China's decision to provide Moldova with 150,000 doses of COVID vaccine as humanitarian aid, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The letter reads that the Chinese side is willing to support Moldova and decided to provide Moldova with 150,000 doses of COVID vaccine as humanitarian assistance.
Li Zhanshu said that currently the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread globally, and the epidemiological situation in Moldova remains alarming.
On behalf of the National Assembly of People's Representatives of China and on his own behalf, Li Zhanshu conveyed compassion to Moldovan people and wished a speedy recovery to all patients.
China's decision to offer the Republic of Moldova the batch of coronavirus vaccines comes as a result of the request addressed by Zinaida Greceanii on 4 March.
