Consumption stamp for alcohol, tobacco to be mandatory in Transnistrian region from 1 May

Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/- Alcoholic and tobacco products entering Moldova and meant to be consumed in the Transnistrian region are subject to mandatory marking with a consumption stamp from 1 May.
According to the State Tax Service (SFS), the way procurement, use and application of consumer stamps is similar to excise stamps. The legislation in force sets the obligation to mark during the manufacture of alcohol and tobacco production - until the completion of its import on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
SFS recommends that the taxpayers covered by the rules take necessary actions in time to obtain consumer stamps to ensure their application in the production process until entering the goods subject to marking in Moldova.
