Chisinau, 24 April /MOLDPRES/- Today, the Republic of Moldova received a batch of 142,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine from the Russian Federation. President Maia Sandu thanked noting "it opens the possibility of expanding the categories of vaccinated people and allows the acceleration of the vaccination process", the presidential press service has reported.
At the same time, the head of state emphasized that vaccination and the continued maintenance of protection measures are our chance to return to normality. "It is very important that as many citizens as possible be vaccinated in the shortest possible time, so that we can protect the lives and health of ourselves and our loved ones," Sandu said.
In this context, Maia Sandu said "the state must continue to do everything possible to bring as many doses of vaccine in the country, and to ensure access to as many types of vaccine as possible, so that citizens can choose."
