As many as 246 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,929 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 246 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 249,385 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two out of all cases are medical employees (medical assistants).

As many as 2,184 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 226 are in extremely serious condition (40 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,443 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,659 are under supervision at home.

Another 529 people have been treated. As many as 237,934 people were treated ofCOVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,745 people have died of coronavirus in all.
