As many as 424 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,193 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 424 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 250,138 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), four out of all cases are medical employees: physicians -1, medical assistants -1, auxiliary staff employees - 2.

As many as 2,153patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 213 are in extremely serious condition (36 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 2,839 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,873 are under supervision at home.

Another 503 people have been treated. As many as 238,926 people were treated ofCOVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,780 people have died of coronavirus in all.
