Moldovan deputy premier pays working visit to Cosnita village

Chisinau, 29 April /MOLDPRES/- Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari paid a working visit to Cosnita, Dubasari district, during which, jointly with the head of Dubasari district chaired an extended working meeting with participation of representatives of local public administration authorities, economic agents from the villages of Cocieri, Corjova and Molovata Nouă and representatives of the management of the Public Property Agency, the Naval Agency, the General Inspectorate of Police and administrator of the Bacul Molovata, the Office of Reintegration Policies has reported.

The discussion focused on rules of traffic by ferry crossing the Dniester River, between Molovata, Molovata Nouă and Cocieri, based on its current technical capabilities and in the context of compliance with the requirements by the Commission of Inspectors of the Naval Agency, according to which it is only allowed the transport of vehicles with an axle load weighing up to 6 tons.

During the event, the positions of all participants were heard, the problems encountered in the traffic process with the floating bridge, being reiterated the indispensability of observing the technical prescriptions in order to avoid risk situations for passengers / goods / vehicles transported and equipment accidents that will subsequently be impossible exploited.

It was found that some problems arise due to insufficient information of the population regarding the technical capabilities of the ferry, and due to overcrowding of the ferry with heavy trucks, whose traffic can be directed to other routes.

It was agreed that in the next period, the circulation of the ferry will be ensured in non-discriminatory and safe conditions for all inhabitants and economic agents in the region, with the supply of villages on the left bank of the Dniester with all necessary products and goods, repair and fortification works of some equipment and the analysis of the possibilities to put into circulation new transport units.

The official assured that through the existing negotiation channels with Tiraspol, will continue the efforts to unblock the free movement of inhabitants on both banks of the Dniester in the context of the restrictions maintained on the left bank during the pandemic period, the request to external partners to support project initiatives aimed at strengthen the activity of Bacul Molovata, as well as reiterated the call to come up with several relevant project proposals through the Program of reintegration activities of the country.

In the near future, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration will pay a working visit to Cocieri, Dubasari district.
