Moldovan president discusses with ambassadors accredited in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today participated in a videoconference with about 70 ambassadors accredited in Moldova.  

According to the presidential press service, the subjects of discussions between the head of state and the diplomats represented the last events which took place in Chisinau. President Maia Sandu informed about the fact that, on 28 April evening, she had signed the Decree on the parliament’s dissolution, thus giving the Moldovan citizens the chance to elect a parliament which is to represent them.  

„I was happy to find out an increased interest on behalf of the representatives of the diplomatic corps in the present and, especially the future of Moldova. At the same time, I thanked the countries which in the last week expressed support for the rule of law state and for the democratic institutions from Moldova,’’ Maia Sandu said. Also, during the discussions, the Moldovan president reiterated the country’s attachment to the European integration.  

„I thanked all states which were by our side in this pandemic year and we agreed to organize such meetings regularly. This is an element which helps us to get the hang of the bilateral relations and boost the cooperation,’’ the head of state said.  

For their part, the diplomats conveyed messages of encouraging Moldova, wishing the country success in overcoming the political crisis, as well as the pandemic one.
