State border to be further crossed in pandemic conditions

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/- The National Commission for Public Health (CNESP) at yesterday's meeting decided that the crossing of the state border will continue in pandemic conditions.

According to Decision No54 of 29 April of CNESP, it is established the obligation to present at the state border crossing on the way to enter the Republic of Moldova the negative result of PCR COVID-19, performed at most 72 hours before boarding (for those traveling by public transport) or entering the territory of the Republic of Moldova (for those traveling by their own means). Confirmation must be submitted in one of the languages Romanian, English, French, German, Italian or Russian.

The 72-hour period will be calculated from the time of performing test set out in the confirmatory act.

"Persons who cross the state border on the way to enter the Republic of Moldova and do not have the negative result of the PCR COVID-19 test, must fill in the epidemiological form, as well as sign the declaration on their own responsibility to comply with the self-isolation regime of 14 days in the determined places. In the case of minors up to 14 years old, the epidemiological form and the declaration is filled in and signed by legal representative or companion ”, the document reads.

Exception to the provisions is established for the following categories of persons, if they do not show clinical signs of respiratory infection or fever: children under 5 years of age or older; drivers and service personnel of road haulage vehicles and road passenger transport vehicles for a fee, who have more than nine seats, including the driver's seat, crews and service personnel of aircraft / ships and brigades and personnel service of train sets; persons traveling for health or humanitarian reasons, including the accompanying person (with presentation of supporting documents).

Also, exception: pupils / students, who are to take exams, who go to study in educational units / institutions on the territory of the Republic of Moldova or abroad, or who travel for activities related to the completion / organization / development of studies / participation at international competitions or Olympics, with the presentation of confirmatory documents. The exception also applies to the legal representative or companion appointed by the legal representative;

persons traveling in the professional interest, proven by visa, residence permit or other confirmatory document, which includes the invitation and / or the contract concluded with a legal person resident in the Republic of Moldova; persons traveling abroad for professional reasons and on return to the country present the confirmation,
athletes traveling for the purpose of participating in international sports competitions and training camps, as well as members of sports delegations or their companions (parents or legal representatives of minor children); persons in transit; the persons who are summoned by the courts / law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Moldova, as well as their legal representatives, fact proved by confirmatory documents in this respect; persons holding a confirmatory certificate of administration of the COVID-19 vaccine, presented in one of the Romanian, English, German, Italian or Russian languages;etc.

The transit through Moldova will be carried out directly, without stopping, through the following lanes established between the state border crossing points: Chisinau International Airport, air - Leuseni-Albita, road; Chisinau International Airport, air - Palanca-Maiaki - Udobnoe, road; Chisinau International Airport, air - Tudora - Starokazacie, road; Chisinau International Airport, air - Criva-Mamaliga, road; Giurgiulești-Galați, road - Giurgiulești-Reni, road.

The lanes set for the transit can be used in both ways.
