Third stage of Teacher of Year contest started

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/- The third stage of the Republican Contest Teacher of the year, 2021 edition, will be held on 29 April -21 May in two phases. The details of the organization of the competition were discussed yesterday at the first meeting of the competition commission, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) has reported.

"55 teachers participate in the republican stage of this year's competition. The holders of the first prize from each nomination will be awarded the Teacher of the Year trophy and a cash prize worth 50,000 lei. Second prize holders will get a prize of 25,000 lei each and Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. Third prize holders will be offered a prize of 15,000 lei each and the Honorary Diploma of the ministry. At the same time, winners will be awarded the next teaching degree to the one they hold or their higher teaching degree will be confirmed, if they possess it ”, indicates MECC.

The republican contest is organized annually in order to increase the prestige of the teaching profession, to boost creative activity, to promote advanced and innovative experience, as well as to motivate for self-training and advancement in teaching.
