Religious services to be organized in compliance with sanitary-epidemiological measures

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/- The National Public Health Commission (CNESP) at yesterday's meeting ruled on conduct of religious services in compliance with prevention and control measures of COVID-19 infection.
"It is allowed a limited number of persons inside places of worship, so as to ensure an area of at least 4 square meters per person and a physical safety distance of at least two meters between persons participating in religious activities (except worshipers). The flow of people will be directed so as to avoid the formation of congestion. The worshipers will ensure the strict observance by all persons who enter the place of worship of the provisions”, the Instruction No54 of 29 April of CNESP.
At the same time, CNESP ordered the obligatory wearing of the protective mask during the entire stay inside the place of worship. The mask should cover both the mouth and the nose. Worshipers will monitor compliance by all persons with the established rules.
Other provisions refer to the non-admission of food consumption, including their offering, inside the place of worship; promoting greetings between believers and worshipers exclusively by bowing their heads and worshiping, without hugs. Also, the blessing will be given / received from a distance of at least one meter and will be periodically disinfected, once every 3-4 hours, objects or frequent contact surfaces. Religious activities officiated by outdoor worshipers will be carried out while maintaining a physical distance of 1.5 meters between people.
The National Public Health Commission urged people at risk, elderly and those with chronic diseases to avoid crowded places and to pray at home.
