Moldovan acting PM has meeting with Ambassador of United Kingdom to Moldova

Chisinau, 1 May /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi has received Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Moldova Steven Fisher, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

The discussions were focused on the Moldovan-British relations following the signing of the Agreement on the Strategic Partnership, Commerce and Cooperation between the two states, as well as on a forthcoming visit to Moldova by the Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, scheduled for the first half of May.

The officials spoke out for the deepening of the high-level political dialogue, continuing the efficient cooperation within international organizations, diversifying the commercial and economic circulation and extending the bilateral collaboration in more sectors.

The sides also exchanged opinions on the present social and political situation in Moldova and the problems related to the Transnistrian conflict.
