Over 6,000 people needed ambulance on Easter

Chisinau, 5 May /MOLDPRES/- Over six thousand calls were received during Easter holidays at the IMSP National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance (CNAMUP) for first aid.
Ambulance intervention was most often requested for citizens with cardiovascular emergencies - 1,120 people, followed by neurological emergencies - 888 and traumatic emergencies - 710 cases.
On the first days of May, the Emergency Service was requested for 34 people who needed medical care following 26 road accidents on the country's routes. Subsequently, the emergency medical teams transported 29 patients to the hospital.
During the same period, the AMU teams intervened in eight cases of alcohol intoxication, five drug intoxications and one with mushrooms, according to sources from CNAMUP.
After receiving first aid, 2,096 patients, including 419 children, were transported to hospitals in the country.
