Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/- The order of the Environment Agency on fishing for mackerel in natural aquatic objectives in 2021 will be published in the Official Journal on 7 May.

Under the document, during the prohibition, sport, amateur and recreational fishing is allowed for Danube mackerel (Alosa immaculata) in the Dniester River for 30 consecutive days, from 16 May 2021 to 14 June 2021 on a permit basis.

The control over compliance of the order is the responsibility of the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection. Sanctions are provided for its violation, which can be administrative and criminal. The fines are stipulated in article 114 of the Contravention Code and can vary between 6-12 contravention units for private people.
