More people to receive assistance to overcome crisis triggered by COVID-19 in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - Over 4,000 families from disadvantaged social groups from Moldova will benefit from packages with assistance on behalf of the United Nations, in the context of the crisis triggered by COVID-19.
The support comes on behalf of development partners, in order to improve the situation created by the pandemic and in the context of the initiatives and visions adopted by the Agenda 2030.
Among the essential products provided within this initiative, the beneficiary people will receive packages with food products, hygiene goods and personal protection equipment.
People from both banks of Dniester benefit from the assistance.
The initiative is implemented by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the UN Human Rights Office, with the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency, from funds of the Austrian Development Cooperation, through the United Nations (UN) COVID-19 Response and Recovery Multi-Partner Trust Fund.
