More vocational institutions from Moldova receive IT equipment for classes of forming abilities

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - Twelve colleges, centres of excellence and vocational schools have benefited from advanced IT technology within the project, Development of life abilities and sound behaviour among pupils from the vocational education for a better preparation for employment. The project is implemented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Austrian Development Agency, in cooperation with the Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC).        

The institutions received 65 tablets, 13 laptops, 13 HD TV sets, 13 colour printers, 13 VR (virtual reality) spectacles and 13 game consoles. The equipment will serve as support for the teachers of the course, Decisions for a sound lifestyle, in the organization of classes in a more attractive way for young people and in the improvement of their performances, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.    

„We will continue, through each activity, to transform the way pupils study and develop new abilities. The modern technology will continue playing an essential role in the transformation of the working environment and the early exposition of pupils to this will certainly have a positive impact on their training for the labour market,’’ a representative of Austria’s Embassy in Chisinau, Gunther Zimmer, said.  

„Recent data clearly shows the positive impact of the education for health through the formation of the life abilities on young people’s development. Therefore, we will invest in the quality of education for health, through the improvement of the content, capacity of teachers and through the endowment of schools with updated education materials and instruments,’’ the UNFPA Moldova resident representative in Moldova, Nigina Abaszada, said.    

Also, the teachers of the course, Decisions for a sound lifestyle,  - the main course which provides education for life, received a set of education materials, created and adapted for each class of the course and a new educational game for teenagers and young people on the prevention of violence and reproductive health, which will be useful in their work with pupils.
