As many as 260 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 7 May /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 5,222 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 260 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 252,413 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.  

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), no one medical employee has been recorded out all the number of infection cases.  

As many as 1,515 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 181 are in extremely serious condition (30 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,830 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,817 are under supervision at home.

Another 433 people have been treated. As many as 242,796 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,929 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a medical assistant Balti Public Health Centre, Rascani district. As many as 117 medical employees have died because of the COVID-19 infection till present.
