Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - The extraordinary public health commission of the Chisinau municipality (CESP), at a today’s meeting, allowed, starting from 9 May, the access to all cemeteries of the capital till 17:00, with the compulsory wearing of protection masks, avoiding agglomerations, keeping the physical distance and banning the consumption of food products and drinking alcoholic beverages.

According to the Chisinau general mayor, CESP head Ion Ceban, the decision was taken, as ‘’specialists say that the number of cases of infection is decreasing and the number of those willing to be vaccinated grew in Chisinau.’’ At the same time, the Commission members ruled that, for moving to cemeteries, ‘’additional public transport to the one moving as usual will not be made available.’’

Also today, CESP Chisinau ruled that the process of education for the pupils of the I-XII forms from the primary school, secondary school and special education institutions from the Chisinau municipality would be organized with physical presence starting from 11 May 2021. Just as the education in the extra-school centres, the sports schools and the extra-school activity in the primary and secondary schools of the Moldovan capital is organized with physical presence. Also, CESP allowed the holding of sports competitions in open air, without spectators, as well as work of youth centres from the Chisinau municipality with the physical presence of a maximal number of 20 young people.

As for the HoReCa activity, the extraordinary public health commission of the Chisinau municipality instructed that ‘’the public nourishment units will work till 23:00, with the strict observance of the public health measures and the instruction on the prevention of the COVID-19 infection, with the recommendation to use preponderantly arranged spaces; besides, in open air, everything will be according to the old rules.’’ For their part, the commercial centres and the special units of retail trade of non-food products from the territory of the Chisinau city will have working schedule till 22:00.

The non-observance of the public health measures contained in the CESP Chisinau Decision represents danger for the public health and will serve as ground for calling to account of guilty people under the Civil and/or Criminal Codes.
