Three road sections in Telenesti, Rezina to be renovated

Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/- Renovation works started this spring on three road sectors in Telenesti and Rezina districts, part of Corridor 10.

The project on rehabilitation of road segments with a total length of 36.5 km provides for the reconstruction of existing road pavement and over 1600 m of sidewalk, the widening of the embankment on some sectors of road, installation of over 1700 new road signs, repair and construction of 36 bridges.

According to Veaceslav Potop, acting director general of the State Road Administration (ASD), the organization of the construction site and the works executed for the time being are in accordance with the plan.

The contract was concluded with a Turkish company in early September 2020, and the works started in late March. The project is estimated at over 364 million lei, money allocated from the loan offered by the World Bank under the Local Road Improvement Program.
