School-leaving examination session to be held in Moldova on 4-22 June

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Education, Culture and Research Minister Liliana Pogolsa today unveiled details about the evaluation exams and the Baccalaureate (BAC – school-leaving examinations).   

According to the minister, 16,773 candidates are registered for the Baccalaureate session. A number of 1,298 pupils will be given the mark 10 ex-officio.  

“The candidates will take the BAC examinations at 93 centres endowed with video cameras. The number of candidates recorded at one centre varies between 6 and 260. The number of republican centres will be increased too, from two to four and two ones will be of contestation. Six hundred teachers will participate in the evaluation commissions. All measures of preventing COVID-19 will be applied at the institutions. The participants must compulsorily wear masks. If we have a high increase in the number of COVID cases, the Education, Culture and Research Ministry worked out several scenarios,’’ Pogolsa noted.      

The minister said that the testing would be compulsory in the elementary school for the pupils of the fourth form.  

The gymnasium-leaving organizations will be held on 3-14 June and the tests will be submitted to education institutions 30 minutes before they start.
