French Development Agency identified ADR Sud as potential project promoter

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/- The French Development Agency (AFD), following an exploratory mission to the Republic of Moldova, held this spring, identified the South Regional Development Agency (ADR) as a potential project promoter.

Representatives of the two development institutions recently had an online meeting, in which they discussed the possibilities for cooperation.

AFD representative Manguy Fabien said "the French Development Agency and the French authorities jointly with those from Moldova will decide in the near future on an intergovernmental agreement between the two countries, the result of which will be known at the end of this year" , according to ADR South.

The French Development Agency is an organization of the Government of Paris, which finances sustainable projects in developing countries.

So far, ADR Sud has implemented and is in the process of several regional development projects, supported by the European Union, the Government of Germany, KfW. Proposals launched by the Japan International Cooperation Agency in the context of the Technical Cooperation Program for the Japanese fiscal year 2021 are currently being discussed.
