As many as 169 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/- A number of 4,986 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 169 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one imported. As many as 253,736 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), out of total cases, one is among medical staff.

As many as 1,267 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 148 are in extremely serious condition (26 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,473 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,434 are under supervision at home.

Another 177 people have been treated. As many as 244,664 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 10 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,016 people have died of coronavirus in all.
