Moldovan singer won Grand Prize at competition in Bulgaria

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/- Young singer Valeria Dunai from the Republic of Moldova won Grand Prize at the International Art Contest STARS of the WORLD, the 7th edition, recently held in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Eugenia Ursu, head of the Association Moldova and minorities, UNESCO Club, said that the contest was attended by 320 singers from 17 countries. On behalf of Moldova, Anastasia Goloborida, 10 years old and Valeria Dunai, 17 years old, participated in the contest. The contest included dance and vocal sections (international hit, mother tongue song, jazz, folklore).

During the competition, the jury led by Bedros Kirkorov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, awarded the Grand Prize to singer Valeria Dunai. Anastasia Goloborida won the third prize, Sheila Vanjiru from Africa - the third prize and Adina Martinas (Romania) - the second prize.
