COVID vaccination process slow in Chisinau

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/- COVID vaccination in Chisinau is slow. Local authorities have called on people to get vaccinated.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban made an appeal today at online meeting of the municipal services to residents of the capital to participate more actively in the vaccination process. "The priority of 2021 is COVID immunization. Chisinau municipality has enough doses, there are no more vaccination stages - whoever wants can get immunized. I urge you to do it, this is the only way we can stop the pandemic ", said Ceban.

At the same time, the mayor noted that the number of vaccinated residents of Chisinau municipality is small and requested the involvement of journalists in popularizing the immunization process among people.

According to the head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health of Chisinau City Hall, Tatiana Bucearschi, 56,476 people have got vaccinated in the municipality so far with the first dose of vaccine, and 5,797 - with booster.
