Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- The government's decision to negotiate with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and order a batch of 700,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine made by BioNTech / Pfizer has been published in the Official Journal.

"The purchase of COVID-19 vaccines is allowed, except for the model forms in the standard documentation for public procurement, including the model contract, as well as the standard form of the single European procurement document, with the acceptance of the model forms proposed by manufacturers of COVID-19 vaccines," the decision reads.

The batch of serum for vaccination of population would be delivered to the Republic of Moldova in this September-October.

"It is an important decision, and if we manage to purchase the batch of 700 thousand doses of vaccine, then this means that 350 thousand people will be vaccinated with two doses," acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi said.
