Over 4,000 people vaccinated at marathon organized by USMF Nicolae Testemitanu

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/- A number of 4,068 citizens got vaccinated against COVID-19 during the university immunization marathon entitled -From student to student.

The marathon, which lasted three days, was organized by the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu and the Association of Medical Students and Residents of Moldova, with the support of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and Council of Rectors of Moldova.

According to the organizers, 2,500 doses of Pfizer vaccine, over a thousand doses of AstraZeneca serum and several hundred doses of Sinopharm were used during the 54 hours of the marathon. People were able to get vaccinated non-stop based on their identity card and came in large numbers from all over the country, not just from the capital.

The leadership of the Ministry of Health described the vaccination marathon as a success and announced that the local authorities in the capital will soon organize a similar event.
