Chisinau authorities willing to reduce Covid restrictions

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/- Local public authorities in Chisinau are considering reducing Covid restrictions.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, said today at online meeting of the municipal services that the incidence of Covid infection is decreasing. "141 patients confirmed with the new coronavirus are hospitalized. The tendency to decrease the incidence of the infection is already confirmed ", said Bucearschi.

At the same time, Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said that the municipal authorities are considering reducing public restrictions, but "it is not yet time to cancel all restrictions."

On 21 May the Public Health Commission of Chisinau reduced the health alert on the territory of the municipality from code red to orange.
