As many as 65 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,723 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 65 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 254,741 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases registered is a medical employee: 1 medical assistant.

As many as 737 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 111 are in extremely serious condition (16 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,158 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,300 are under supervision at home.

Another 196 people have been treated. As many as 246,766 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another five deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,080 people have died of coronavirus in all.
