Trolleybus, bus to run in Moldovan capital to ensure inhabitants' access to vaccination

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/- To ensure access to COVID vaccination, Chisinau city hall has launched two mobile vaccination points.

A trolleybus and a bus, equipped and provided with medical staff will run today in the capital to offer those who want to get vaccinated.

According to Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban, the two mobile vaccination centers will stop at stations, and people who want to get vaccinated will present only the identity card. "The municipality has enough doses of vaccine - Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Chinese serum. Citizens can choose the vaccine", Ceban said.

He noted that the initiative contributes to raising public awareness of the vaccination process and in addition to the two mobile centers, in Chisinau there are 60 vaccination centers.

The trolleybus will run according to a schedule in all sectors of the capital, and the bus will travel to the suburbs. 

At the same time, on weekend the municipality, together with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection will organize a vaccination marathon at the Palace of the Republic. The event will take place on 28-30 May between 09:00 and 22:00.

Vaccination will be possible without prior appointment, only with the identity card. During the marathon, all types of vaccine against COVID-19 approved in the Republic of Moldova will be available, such as: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm, CoronaVac.
