Moldovan president has meeting with U.S. Ambassador

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu and United states Ambassador to Moldova Dereck J. Hogan discussed the political situation in Moldova, the sanitary crisis and the economic one, as well as the forthcoming parliamentary elections, the presidential press service has reported.

„I thanked the United States and Mr. Ambassador Hogan for the support provided to Moldova to overcome the sanitary crisis and for his country’s contribution to the COVAX platform, due to which we have received vaccine for our citizens. We hope that we will manage to get out of this crisis as soon as possible,’’ Maia Sandu said.

At the meeting, the head of state and the U.S. ambassador also discussed the last political developments in Moldova. ‘’We want all citizens of Moldova to have possibility to express their vote freely, fairly and transparently, no matter the place where they are,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
