Holding of Last Bell in Moldova's schools to be decided locally

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/ - The solemn activity, Last Bell, this year will be organized in all general education institutions from Moldova based on decisions by the territorial extraordinary public health commissions, depending on the alert degree established for each settlement and the indication of COVID-19 incidence, the Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) has reported.   

The ministry issued a circular letter to this effect to the local specialty bodies of in the education sector and the managers of the general education institutions.

„Based on the decisions by the territorial extraordinary public health commissions on the alert degree established for each settlement and the indicator of COVID-19 incidence, the education institutions will establish the format, conditions of carrying out the activities dedicated to the Last Bell (as case may be, changed schedule for participants), depending on the number of pupils and the space available for such activities and with the strict observance of the measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 virus’ spread,’’ MECC said. 

At the same time, other festive activities meant for pupils will not be allowed at the headquarters of the education institutions on 31 May.

The Education, Culture and Research Ministry warns about the need to compulsorily observe the measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection, in the organization of all activities of finishing the 2020-2021 school year and in organizing the activities of preparation for the national school-leaving examinations, the 2021 session.
