Vaccination marathons likely to be held by other institutions in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban asked other public institutions to organize vaccination marathons.

During today's municipal services meeting, Ceban thanked 300 medical staff involved in the vaccination marathon that took place on May 28-30 at the Palace of the Republic and asked other institutions to carry out such actions. "The joint effort of the municipal institutions and the Ministry of Health made this possible. After the opening of the Covid Center at MoldExpo, it is the second example that shows that such a thing can be achieved. Such vaccination marathons could be organized by other institutions as well ", he said.

According to the official, only the vaccination of over 70 percent of the total population of Chisinau could minimize the risk of coronavirus infection.

On 28-30 May, 5500 people have got vaccinated at the vaccination marathon held at the Palace of the Republic.
