National fine arts contest dedicated to children held in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - The second issue of the national fine arts contest titled, Children’s Rights, nominated its laureates today. The event was organized by the National Justice Institute and the Alexei Sciusev fine arts school from Chisinau.  

According to the organizers, 150 works of pupils from all over Moldova, which show their perceptions and visions about children’s rights, were presented at the contest. The competition was held at two age categories: 11-14 years and 15-17 years.  

At the event, the director of the National Justice Institute, Diana Scobioala, congratulated the participants and encouraged them to remain equally enthusiastic in the promotion and protection of children’s rights.  

The national contest of fine arts titled, Children’s Rights, meant for pupils from the general schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, arts schools and studios from all over Moldova, was held in February-May 2021, in order to inform, through creation, about children’s rights. The first edition of the contest was held in 2017 and was titled, Justice – I see you like this. Children’s paintings at that time were exhibited also at the European Court of Human Rights, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the ratification by Moldova of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
