Young singer from Chisinau gets prize II at international singing contest in Romania

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRE/ - A young singer from Moldova, Diana Turturica, got the prize II at the Ionel Perlea International Singing Contest, held in the Slobozia city of Romania on 27-29 May.    

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Diana Turturica said that 56 singers from 12 countries had participated in the contest. The jury was made up of Nelly Miricioiu (head) from the United Kingdom, conductor Alessandro Cedrone from Italy, sopranos Florenta Marines and Mirella Bunoaica from Romania and Mihail Munteanu from Moldova.

Kyounghan Seo from South Korea ranked first, Diana Turturica – second, Yurii Strakhov from Ukraine was on the third position and Aleksandra Kirsanova from Russia ranked fourth.  

Diana Turturica was born in the Dubasari town on 23 February 1993. In 2016, she finished the Chisinau-based Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy from Chisinau, academic singing class and in 2020 she got the master’s degree at the same institution in the class of professor Mihail Munteanu. In 2021, Diana Turturica got the prize II at the Alexei Starcea International Academic Singing Contest.
