Companies from Odessa to include destinations from Moldova in tourist bids

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - A group of tourist operators and agents from Odessa, Ukraine, are on an information tour in Moldova, at an initiative by the Investments Agency. Ukrainian operators visited more famous destinations from Moldova, such the Soroca Fortress, Tighina Fortress, Tapova Monastery and today they are on a visit to Old Orhei and Milestii Mici.

According to Investments Agency, the Ukrainians’ interest in Moldova’s tourist potential came as a result of a forum dedicated to the cultural and tourist route, Ruler Stefan the Great and Holy, organized by the Agency in December 2020.

The tour’s programme included also B2B sessions, in which Ukrainian tourist companies participated, as well as 20 representatives of the Moldovan tourist industry, among which: tourism agencies, HoReCa representatives, tourist guides, etc. These sessions had the goal to diversify the packages of services provided by the operators from both countries.

Following the visits paid by tourist companies from Ukraine, the destinations from Moldova are to be included in their bids, thus increasing the number of Ukrainian tourists who will visit Moldova. In 2020, the tourists from Ukraine ranked second among the foreign tourists travelling to Moldova.
