National women's football team of Moldova starts preparations for World Championship

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The national women’s football team starts preparations for the World Championship on 11-15 June.

According to the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF), the team will play a verification match with Moldova’s champion, Agarista CSF Anenii Noi, in Vadul lui Voda on 13 June.

Coach Eduard Blănuță said the goal of this training was to verify the potential of the players from the domestic championship, in the perspective of the official matches. ‘’This is an extra chance for the young players to assert themselves,’’ the coach noted.

At the qualifiers for the 2023 World Women’s Football Championship, due in Australia and New Zealand, the national team will play in the G group along with Italy, Switzerland, Romania, Croatia and Lithuania.
