Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, has asked the leadership of the municipal institutions, departments and directorates not to get involved in the electoral discussions.

At an online meeting of the municipal services, the mayor said that heads of the municipal directorates, departments and enterprises should not get involved in the electoral campaign for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. Also, Ceban banned the carrying out of electoral meetings during the working schedule.  ‘’The Chisinau city hall is not involved in the campaign. I ask electoral contenders to organize electoral meetings only outside the time of the working schedule, in the free time. Do not involve the municipal institutions in the electoral campaign. Let the city hall work, do not politicize the problems existing in Chisinau,’’ Ceban noted.

At the same time, he also said that the discussions on the city’s problems were welcome, but they must not be politicized. ‘’I ask the electoral contenders not to politicize the problems existing in the Chisinau municipality,’’ the mayor added.

Snap parliamentary elections will take place in Moldova on 11 July 2021.
