Ion Dosca becomes Moldova's champion in draughts

Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - Ion Dosca has won Moldova’s championship in draughts for the 19th time without any defeat or tie.

For the second time in the history of the national championship, Ion Dosca ended the competition without recording any defeat or tie. He accumulated 14 points out of 14 possible.

The multiple world champion, Elena Scovitina, ranked second and the sports master, Nicolae Guba, is on the third position.

Ion Dosca is the best draughts player of Moldova. He won the Cub of the USSR in draughts in 1980 and 1990. Dosca was the champion of the Soviet Union (1991) Russian variant; he is prize winner of World Championships, universal variant, world champion (1999) universal variant, champion of the United States, pool-checkers variant (2000).
