No polling stations to be organized in Bender city, Corjova village

Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today revised its decision on the organization of polling stations for the voters from the left bank of Dniester, Bender city and several settlements of the eastern Causeni district at the snap parliamentary elections due on 11 July 2021.
The decision was taken following discussions within the Joint Control Commission (JCC) on the concerned subject, and in order not to allow actions which might jeopardize the good carrying out of the electoral process. The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) found out difficulties for the law-enforcement bodies to ensure the good work of the electoral process in the polling stations from the Bender city and Corjova village, Dubasari district.
As for the other polling stations, the Commission was informed about the willingness to ensure the measures established as to the maintaining of public order in the settlements where these polling stations are placed.
In the context, CEC instructed the organization of 41 district polling stations for the voters from the left bank of Dniester.
Official data of the State Register of Voters shows that over 258,000 citizens with right to vote of Moldova are registered in the administrative and territorial units from the left bank of Dniester, which are temporarily out of the sovereign control of the Chisinau constitutional authorities.
