Moldovan government approves quantums of premiums for Tokyo Olympic Games

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - The acting government members, at a today’s meeting, approved the quantum of premiums for performances achieved at the 32nd issue of the Summer Olympic Games and the 16th issue of the Paralympic Games due in Japan in 2021.   

Under a government’s decision, the Education, Culture and Research Ministry will establish the values of the premiums as follows: for sportspeople – the premium’s value will be equal to the quantum of the premium approved, according to the annex, depending of the performance achieved; for coaches – the premium’s value will be equal to the value of the sportsperson’s premium, but will not exceed the sum provided to the sportsperson, if he/she is assisted by more coaches.    

The coverage of the expenses dealing with the payment of the concerned premiums will be made at the expense of the means of the government’s reserve fund.  

The quantum of premiums looks as follows: Golden Medal – 3,000,000 lei; silver medal – 2,600,000 lei; bronze medal – 2,000,000 lei; 4th place – 600,000 lei; 5th place – 600,000 lei, 6th place – 400,000 lei; 7th place – 300,000 lei; 8th place – 200,000 lei.
