As many as 59 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,422 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 59 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 255,937 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all cases of infection registered is among medical employees (one medical assistant).

As many as 168 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 41 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 658 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,014 are under supervision at home.

Another 92 people have been treated. As many as 248,904 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another three deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,159 people have died of coronavirus in all.
