Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with his counterpart from Montenegro

Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/ - The boosting of the political dialogue, fostering of the sectoral, commercial, economic cooperation and of tourism, consolidation of the legal basis of the bilateral relations represented the principal subjects of a 17 June meeting in Antalya between acting Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and his counterpart from Montenegro , Đorđe Radulović. The meeting took place in the context of participation in the Summit of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

The discussions between the two officials were focused on the bilateral cooperation and interaction within regional forums. The sides agreed on boosting the political and diplomatic dialogue through the holding of inter-ministerial consultations in the near future. During discussions on the cooperation in the tourism sector, Minister Ciocoi tackled the consideration by the Montenegrin side of the mutual recognition of the vaccination certificates.

Aureliu Ciocoi and Đorđe Radulović highly appreciated the close cooperation between Moldova and Montenegro within the regional collaboration platforms, especially within SEECP.

At the same time, Minister Aureliu Ciocoi stressed the relevance of Montenegro’s experience in the negotiations on joining EU and reintegrated Moldova’s interest in the consolidation of the cooperation in the European integration sector, including through the organization of bilateral consultations.
