Moldovan president discusses with Italian MPs from Moldova-Italy parliamentary friendship group

Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/ - The agenda of the visit to Rome by President Maia Sandu today continued with a working lunch, in which the head and deputy head of the Moldova-Italy parliamentary friendship group, Loredana Russo and Alessandra Maiorino, respectively, participated, the presidential press service has reported.

„I made sure once again that Moldova has friends, reliable friends in Italy,’’ the Moldovan president stressed.

The head of state discussed with Italian politicians the political and economic situation in both countries. ‘’I noted also the importance of boosting the parliamentary cooperation, especially after the 11 July ballot,’’ Maia Sandu said.

Also during the visit to Rome, the head of state met the former ambassador of Italy to Moldova, Valeria Biagiotti. ‘’She is a true friend of our country,’’ the Moldovan president said.
