Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with Ukrainian counterpart

Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi has had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The officials appreciated the friendship relations between Moldova and Ukraine, based on mutual support and confidence, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
Aureliu Ciocoi and Dmytro Kuleba welcomed the recent decision by the authorities of the two states on the mutual recognition of the national certificates of vaccination against Covid-19 – a decision meant to facilitate the travels of both countries’ citizens, especially on the summer period.
Also, the interlocutors reiterated he importance of the continuous deepening of the political dialogue both at the high level and between the foreign affairs ministries. At the same time, the two diplomacy heads referred to the importance to boost the activities of demarcation of the border between the two states. Concomitantly, the ministers highlighted the need to sign, in the near future, the protocols on the carrying out of the joint control at eight Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points.
The diplomats expressed willingness for extending the cooperation in the commercial and economic sector and agreed on carrying out joint activities for marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral Moldovan-Ukrainian diplomatic relations.
