Tenth issue of J.S. Bach International Festival held in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Organ Hall from Chisinau hosts cultural events on the period 23-30 June – the tenth issue of the J.S. Bach International Music Festival. The anniversary schedule comprises concerts with guests from Belgium, Russia, Spain, Romania and Moldova.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the Organ Hall, Larisa Zubcu, said that the opening of the festival would take place today at 19:00, with the programme, Passions for Piano, a concert given by the National Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Cristian Florea (Romania-Germany) and a well-known Russia-born Belgian musician Vladimir Sverdlov-Ashkenazy will act as soloist.
On 25 June, the festival will continue with a traditional organ recital, given by a well-known Russian organist Alexander Fiseisky, soloist of the Moscow-based Philharmonic.
On 27 June, the festival’s agenda suggests a guitar recital given by a distinguished artist from Spain - María Esther Guzmán .
The festival will culminate on 30 June, traditionally with a monumental work titled, Johannes Passion, by J. S. Bach.
A painting exhibition, presented by students of the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy, A. Plamadeala Fine Arts College and Igor Vieru Academic Fine Arts Lyceum will be inaugurated at the Organ Hall within the Festival.
The J.S. Bach International Festival is a project carried out with the support of the Education, Culture and Research Ministry of Moldova, within the programme of cultural projects carried out by non-commercial organizations, in partnership with the Akzente German Cultural Centre, Goethe-Institut Bucharest, IMAGO House, Kinezis-Vita – medical centre of physical rehabilitations and other institutions. The concerts start at 19:00. Tickets are sold at the pay desk from the Organ Hall and online on www.iticket.md. The price of one ticket varies between 80 and 200 lei.
