Rescuers warn about caution measures in dog days in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ - The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) has warned residents to take prevention measures on the period of the hot weather. Firemen urge people to observe the anti-fire rules and not set fire to household waste and dry vegetation.
Rescuers appeal especially to people who go to leisure zones. ‘’We ask people not to make stakes, not set fire to charcoal and opt for areas specially meant for these activities,’’ IGSU said.
Also, to avoid tragedies nearby water basins, rescuers warn the population to exclude bathing in unauthorized and unknown places, not to opt for bathing drunk or at night and strictly supervise minors nearby lakes or rivers from Moldova.
“In conditions of high air temperatures, specialists urge people to avoid basking in the sun, especially in the time interval 11:00-17:00, avoid physical effort and opt for closes made of natural fabrics,’’ IGSU also said. People may call the 112 Service in risk situations.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, dog days are expected on the days to come, with the air temperatures increasing to +33 Celsius degrees during the day.
