As many as 150 polling stations to be opened outside Moldova

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today organized additional consultations with decision-makers of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE).
According to CEC, having at the basis the estimated spending sheet for the organization and holding of the 11 July 2021 snap parliamentary elections, compiled based on the assessment of the needs for 150 polling stations, CEC submitted to MAEIE for approval a list of also 150 polling stations.
MAEIE informed about the fulfillment of the conditions as regards the getting of the foreign countries’ competent authorities, as well as confirmed the possibility of ensuring the voting process from the logistic viewpoint, including the identification of the heads of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations and their headquarters.
As a result, the Commission members adopted, by unanimous vote, the list of polling stations abroad for the 11 July 2021 snap parliamentary elections. At the same time, the electoral council of the electoral constituency No 38 for the polling stations set up abroad will adjust the decision on the creation of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations abroad, in line with the CEC decision.
