Chisinau, 24 June /MOLDPRES/- General Secretariat of the Government of Romania, Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova accepted the request of the Federation of Young Romanians Everywhere for free rail transport for students studying in Romania for 10-12 July, in the context of snap elections.

“I requested the help of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova, given that out of the 20 university centers in Romania, only in 11 university centers there will be at least one polling station for snap parliamentary elections in Moldova on 11 July 2021. I reasoned the need for free rail transport services on 10-12 July by the fact that this measure will increase the mobility of Bessarabian students and will motivate them to go to the polls to decide the future of the Republic of Moldova, "a communique of the Federation reads.

The FTRP aims to represent the interests of Romanian students and pupils everywhere, studying in Romania, for a better integration in the Romanian social, economic, cultural and educational space. FTRP has 14 member associations in the largest university centers in Romania.

According to some data, more than ten thousand young people from the Republic of Moldova study in Romanian educational institutions.
