Moldova, Turkey agree on mutual recognition of national vaccination certificates

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) informs about the success of the bilateral negotiations on the mutual recognition of the national certificates of immunization against Covid-19, issued by the competent authorities of Moldova and Turkey, following agreements on principle of the two diplomacies’ heads at recent high-level contacts.   

The MAEIE public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has told MOLDPRES that thus, the vaccinated citizens from Moldova and the people with legal residence in Moldova, and the entrance in Turkey, will be exempted from presenting the PCR test and will not be placed in isolation upon the presentation of a national certificate of vaccination against Covid-19, issued by the national authorities in charge. This procedure is applied to all vaccines approved nationally in both countries.   

Turkey is the fourth country, after Hungary, Ukraine and Georgia, with which Moldova agreed, at the bilateral level, on the mutual recognition of the national vaccination certificates.   

The Moldovan diplomacy continues, by joint efforts, the ensuring of the recognition of the national certificates, in order to facilitate the movement of the vaccinated Moldovan citizens.   

Bulgaria, Spain and Montenegro informed about the unilateral recognition of the vaccination certificates issued by Moldova’s authorities, which comply with the standards of the World Health Organization.
