Balti-based National Theatre ends 64th season with five plays

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Vasile Alecsandri State National Theatre from Balti ends its 64th theatrical season with the staging of five plays for the UNITEM Awards Gala Contest: Agachi Butterfly, according to a play by Vasile Alecsandri, Agachi Flutur, stage management of Sandu Cozub; My Dad’s a Birdman, adaptation according to David Almond, stage management of Natalia Lupacescu; Bonjour Papa by Jean Poiret, stage management of Vitalie Drucec, Prințesa Purcică (Sow Princess) by Dumitru Crudu, stage management of Ion Ambrosi and Concert of Convicts by Dmitri Mincenok, stage management of Dumitru Griciuc.
At the same time, a promise by the acting director general of the aforementioned theatre, Onorina Burlac-Tanase, to open the 65th jubilee season with the presentation of an original play for Moldova’s theatrical stage is realistic.
According to the literary secretary of the Balti-based theatre, Ludmila Cerguta, the Vasile Alecsandri State National Theatre backed its cultural project on the staging of a play from the American dramaturgy within the contest of grants of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova. Thus, the theatre brings on stage the science fiction novel, 451º Fahrenheit, by Ray Bradbury. The motto of this play is ‘’Where they burn books, they will also ultimately burn people.” (Heinrich Heine).
