Today - last day for campaigning

Chisinau, 9 July /MOLDPRES/- Today is the last day that candidates can do campaigning. On the day before the elections and on election day, campaigning is strictly forbidden, as declared day of silence.

According to the Electoral Code, campaigning is strictly prohibited on election day and the day before it. Thus, on the days it is not allowed to carry out, cover activities, materials with a hint of electoral agitation, nor the appearance of candidates in elections for television or radio shows.

Also, candidates cannot make transfers to and from the account indicating Electoral fund.

The continuation of the campaigning in the mentioned days by the media, candidates and citizens is administrative contravention and is sanctioned with a fine from 10 to 20 conventional units to private people and 40 - 50 conventional units to electoral candidate.

23 candidates will participate in the snap parliamentary elections on 11 July.
